The Country-POP mood is the main theme of the Dondup Spring–Summer '12 capsule collection. The usual formal shirt has been reinvented under a more informal point of view becoming a jacket on the full coloured t-shirts.

For this Spring Summer 2012 Dondup woman collection, Manuela Mariotti takes inspiration for the presentation of the collection from the American cult movie “The Warriors” directed by Walter Hill in 1979 but re-visited with a message of “love” and “friendship” rather than “hate” and “war”. Six are the main “gangs” represented within this collection...

A special event took place at for the presentation of the Valemour social brand, supported, among others also by Dondup, on the Down Syndrome World Day. The brand, conceived by the "Più di un Sogno" Onlus Foundation executes projects meant to give working opportunities to people with learning disabilities.

Dondup attended The Denim Day Conference organized by the Sportswear International magazine in Berlin on Jan 17, 2012. The topic of the second edition of this event was "The multi-channel challenge". Subjects pertaining to the denim industry were analyzed together with debates over the future of the retail shops, the innovation of the production methods...

For the next season Autumn Winter 2011 - 2012 Manuela Mariotti plays on unusual contrasts between cultures, fabrics, shapes, weights and lengths. Contrasting styles weave together. A French ”chich” culture meets with the “color underground” grunge culture with a masculine spirit.

The term mod, abbreviation of Modernism, is related to a young culture that was born and developed in London, UK, in the late 50’s.” What does it mean to be a " Mod" in 2011? A modern way of living, a modern attitude and the desire to wear well made clothes. And above all to have a unique personal style.

The first Dondup area, where one can breathe the philosophy of our brand in all its aspects, is going to be located in an old repair shop in Milan, Via Sirtori 34. A space of 400 sq.ft two floors, with extensive use of wood in its natural tones, cement and wrought iron details. Lighting will create an all-changing mood.
