The average number of pants that a person owns in their adult life is 588 pair. A huge number that, due to fast fashion, is expected to increase. DONDUP, through a powerful and highly symbolic installation, wants to emphasize the impact that each of us has on the planet.
“The impact that each of us has is enormous and often we don't stop to reflect on the consequences. This work is born with the intent of giving a tangible dimension to this. But the message it must convey is constructive; it wants to demonstrate that there are solutions, that we can and must shop, but we just need to do it better, and that the industrial system must strive to make the recycling and reuse process more virtuous and efficient.”
